Shooting to fame as one quarter of HUGE K-pop group, Blackpink, Jennie is now making a name for herself all on her own. Releasing viral bangers like 'Mantra' and 'One of the Girls', the 29-year-old's solo career is really taking off.
This year, she's getting ready to drop her much-anticipated debut album 'Ruby' on 7th March. Jennie was born on 16th January 1996, making her 29-years-old at the time of writing.
Where was Jennie born?
Much like her band-mate Rosé, Jennie spent her childhood in New Zealand. Jennie was born in South Korea and moved back there in 2010 at the age of 14.
What's her full name?
Jennie's full name is Jennie Kim, but she often goes by the name Jennie Ruby Jane, which she says she chose for herself.
Is Jennie still in Blackpink?

On 31st January, Jennie dropped the first single from her debut album 'Ruby' which is due out in March. 'Love Hangover', which features rapper and actor Dominic Fike, came complete with a pretty dramatic music video! You can watch below...

When is Jennie's debut album due out?
'Ruby' is expected to drop on 7th March 2025 — and is available to pre-order now. It's the singer's first solo album, and follows announcements from Blackpink bandmates Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo about their solo albums.
Rosé dropped 'Rosie' in December 2024, while Jisoo and Lisa's albums were released in February 2025.
Has Jennie been on Chicken Shop Date?
Not yet, but she will! On Friday 7th March, Jennie will be joining Amelia Dimoldenberg for Chicken Shop Date. It has not yet been revealed what the pair will be chatting about.

The singer told us in an interview in December 2024: "My whole album is almost finished... not quite, but I've got a lot of music there ready to go. So this Eurovision song, I'm just so, so, so excited it's going to be coming soon."
Tate McRae - 'So Close to What'

Tate McRae's third album is set for release in February. The album features 15 songs including her hits 'It's OK I'm OK', '2 Hands' and 'Sports Car'.
Lady Gaga - 'Mayhem'
Release date: Out now
Lady Gaga teased her seventh album for some time, however in January 2025 she confirmed the album's name previously known as 'LG7' would be called 'Mayhem'. She also confirmed the release date is 7th March. The album features her songs 'Disease' and 'Abracadabra'.
James Arthur - 'Pisces'
Release date: 21st March 2025
James Arthur is set to release his highly anticipated sixth studio album, 'Pisces' in March. He has been teasing his new release since early December, following the release of the first song from the album 'ADHD'.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco
Release date: 21st March 2025
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have announced they will be releasing an album together. The pair, who got engaged in December 2024 will release their collaborative album called 'I Said I Love You First' in March 2025.
Dua Lipa - 'Future Nostalgia' fifth anniversary edition
Release date: 28th March 2025
Dua Lipa has announced a special edition of her album 'Future Nostalgia' to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The album was originally released on 27th March just as the UK went into its first lockdown, and features hits such as 'Don't Start Now', 'Levitating' and 'Physical'.
Perrie

Perrie has announced her album has been finished and will be out this year, however she hasn't revealed what it will be called, or the exact release date. This album will be her first solo album since Little Mix started their hiatus in 2022.

Jax Jones has revealed he will be releasing his second studio album in 2025, however he has yet to reveal when it will be released or the tracklist. He has however confirmed it will feature some big collaborations.
