Is 40 too told to go to a festival? That was the questions Gethin Jones asked his co-hosts Gemma and Dave on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show last week.
Dave Vitty decided to cook up a themed quiz for Gethin to test his knowledge of bands that might be appearing on stage at the Budapest festival he was attending. Turns our Gethin's music knowledge wasn't so bad after all but would he survive the crowds, all night dancing and excess fun?
Hundreds of Hits Radio listeners got in touch to say that 40 isn't too old to go to a festival and that Gethin should embrace the festivities.
And embrace he did, Gethin Jones shared photos on his Instagram over the weekend of him and his mates all dress is comedy suits and covered in glitter. He well and truly got into the festival spirit.
Talking on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show this morning (13th August), Gethin said that he didn't feel too old to be at the festival, especially because he and his mates were in matching summer suits.
But as Monday morning rolled around the weekend of fun seemed to have taken it's toll on Gethin. Seems that being 40 makes a little harder to recover, as he reports that "the aftermath is serious!" Watch the video below to find out if he survived...
Never one to let the loyal Hits Radio listeners down Gethin made it in for the Breakfast Show despite only having 4 hours sleep. Perhaps next time he'll just enjoy the festival on TV from the comfort of his own home.
