Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announce split
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are calling it quits after nearly 13 years of marriage.
'No Doubt' and solo singer Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, lead singer and rhythm guitarist in 'Bush' are calling it quits after nearly 13 years of marriage.
They released a statement to 'Access Hollywood' stating: "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
The musical couple met in 1995 when their bands went on tour together and they started dating shortly after. They went on to get married 7 years later in London and held another wedding a couple of weeks later in Los Angeles.
In 2004 Rossdale found out he had fathered a child with Pearl Lowe, and that child was 14-year-old Daisy Lowe. Stefani went on to have the couples first child together a couple of years later.
Stefani has reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the couple's split and has requested joint custody of their sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
