Ghostbusters all female line-up revealed
The film will be released in 2016
Bridesmaids stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are set to reunite in the all-female Ghostbusters sequel.
The film’s director Paul Feig has confirmed the duo will feature alongside Saturday Night Live comediennes Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
The 1984 original, which made £198m at the global box office, included Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the ghost-hunting quartet.
“Ghostbusters is such a great thing and everybody knows it,” Feig told Entertainment Weekly.
“It’s a shame to just let this thing sit there. My favourite thing to do is work with funny women. I was like, what if it was an all-female cast? That would be really fun.”
