Ellie Goulding wowed the Hits Radio Live audience in Manchester over the weekend performing her hits including her current single 'Close To Me'. Before taking to the stage, Sarah-Jane Crawford caught up with Ellie Goulding backstage to chat about her return to music after more than a year away.

It's been around 18 months since Ellie's last song, 'First Time' with Kygo, and a massive three years since her last album, 'Delirium'. Ellie's current song, 'Close To Me', is another collaboration, this time with Diplo featuring American rapper Swae Lee, and the pop star opened up about working with Diplo.

Ellie admitted that she hasn't been on a night out with the American DJ because she doesn't really go out, "but he definitely goes out a lot." Later saying, "to be fair he's getting paid because he's DJing".
