Ellie Goulding chats about her engagement and wedding planning

Pop superstar Ellie Goulding announced her engagement to art dealer Caspar Jopling in August 2018, so when she joined us backstage at Hits Radio Live, complete with a MASSIVE engagement ring, we couldn't help but find out more details about the big announcement.

Speaking to Hits Radio presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford, the 'Love Me Like You Do' singer revealed the couple decided to announce their news in The Times newspaper as she is 'naive' and thought nobody really 'cared' about her, so they thought it would be nice for their families. Watch the clip below:

Ellie, who recently made her comeback to music with her amazing single 'Close To Me', also revealed she's already started her wedding planning, but she's focusing more on the release of her upcoming new album.

We can't wait for it to land! 🙌

As the 31-year-old decided to take a year out of the spotlight, Ellie revealed she's missed performing to her fans live, but before taking a break she felt a bit like a 'robot'. But don't panic! Ellie is now 'excited' about being back and she can't wait to perform live again!

Ellie Goulding has been in and out of the charts for almost a decade, following the success of her debut album, ‘Lights’. Having taken a year out of the spotlight, she’s now back with a brand new album on the way - recently releasing her newest single, ‘Close To Me’, on which she collaborated with Diplo and Swae Lee.
