Ella Henderson opens up about delaying her wedding to 2025

Earlier this year, the wonderful Ella Henderson announced her engagement to Team GB's Jack Burnell, after they went on holiday to Mauritius.
The '21 Reasons' singer shared a series of cute photos announcing the exciting news telling her fans: 'So this happened 💍🥲☺️… here’s to life with you & all it’s adventures @jackrexburnell ♥️'. (sic)
The first pic showed Ella with a smile on her face, holding her hand to the camera, showing off her new ring. The other cute photos shared by the former X Factor contestant showed her with fiancé Jack Burnell.
When Ella posted the lovely news, messages of congratulations came in from celebrity friends and fans alike. Nathan Dawe told Ella: 'Massive congratulations 💚💚'. while MNEK said: 'congratulations !!', and Joel Corry wrote: 'Woooo massive congrats to you both !!!'. (sic)
Meanwhile fellow former X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden said: 'Congrats mate' and rapper KSI commented: 'Congrats :))))'.
Jack also shared a series of photos telling his followers: 'SHE SAID YES!!! 💍 Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you…❤️ @official_ellahenderson'. (sic)
Ella and Jack have been together for around three years after getting to know each other over FaceTime during lockdown, after Ella joined a dating app.
The 'React' singer joined us backstage at Hits Live where she told us why she would be delaying her wedding until 2025.
"Do you know what? We were both just like, let's not talk about planning it this year," she opened up. "I've got so much going on and he's so busy with work. So it's just like, let's not talk about it. Maybe 2025?
"I'm quite enjoying being engaged, I quite like it. It's a lovely period and I feel like, your wedding day is such a special moment, I kind of don't want it to happen too soon, because I've got nothing to look forward to!"
She then added: "Also, I just can't decide what kind of wedding I want, I change it every week."
Speaking about their meeting, Ella told Metro.co.uk last year: "It’s funny, we always say we never would have met and crossed paths probably if it wasn’t for the lockdown. Even though it was such a frustrating time and difficult for a lot of our mental health, but he and I have to thank that lockdown in a sense or else we never would’ve crossed paths.
"The reason for going on the dating app was because it was a long period of time before we could go out and socialise. I missed my friends and wanted to go to the bar, have a cocktail, chat somebody up and let them chat you up but you couldn’t have that time to do that."
