We're just days away from the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, with its launch show set to take place on 16th September. And ahead of the show, we caught up with comedian Eddie Kadi, who will be taking to the stage in the hope of winning the Glitterball Trophy along with other celebrities, including Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas and Angela Rippon.

Joining Fleur East, James Barr and Producer Matt, on Hits Radio Breakfast, Eddie opened up about what scares him most about taking part in Strictly. The comedian revealed taking part was the "scariest thing" he's ever signed up for. He explained: "Because I love dancing, right? And as a Congolese, as I've said it many times, like, we dance (at) every opportunity we get. But you then you realise you're not really dancing, you just wiggling your bum."

Eddie went on say: "It's the scariest because you see the levels (of ability) and you also have this massive communicate. We know you can dance Ed! We know you can, you know, go and represent us. I'm saying guys, this it's not afrobeat dancing, it's not African dancing!"

The comedian also explained why he's decided to look at the judges in a different way: "I see them as my maintenance engineer... they're my plumbers," he said. "So for me, every criticism is just feedback. You know, I'll keep smiling, but deep inside... (through gritted teeth) THANK YOU, I appreciate it, that's enough now Shirley!"

Meanwhile, Fleur, who is also the new co-host of Strictly: It Takes Two, recently shared some huge behind the scenes secrets. The Hits Radio presenter told us how she's seen all of the couples practising, revealing: "There are a few dark horses let me tell you that… when I saw them move, I thought those hips don’t lie! There were people doing lifts you wouldn’t expect to be doing lifts… it’s going to be so good!"

Strictly Come Dancing is set to start this Saturday (16th September), where we'll get to see which celebrities have been paired with which professionals.
