Craig David is joining us here at the Hits Radio family for some special shows each Friday in the run up to Christmas, so we just had to get him on Hits Radio Breakfast with Fleur East, Greg and James.

During the chat on Friday morning (6th December), Craig revealed that his first album, 'Born to Do It' got its name from the film Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Unbelievably, he explained to the team that it was from the opening scene of the film, that his debut album gets its name.

Craig went on to say, in the opening scene the kid runs into the candy shop and says, "How does he do it?", and the candy shop man replies, "They do it because they were born to do it." 'Born To Do It' was released in 1997.

The 'Fill Me In' singer also revealed that the film is one of his favourites - he loves the storyline because it's relatable. Craig explained there's "super dark humour" in the film, with Gene Wilder being "super funny". The 'Born To Do It' singer explained he thinks, "It's a kid's film wrapped up, but really it's an adult's movie".

During the interview Craig also admitted he wouldn't be on any existing reality TV shows, but if he was to be on one he'd have his own, but it wouldn't be called Keeping Up With The Davids!

You can hear Craig David presents TS5 on Hits Radio 7pm - 8pm on Friday 6th, 13th and 20th December, and we can't wait to hear what he has in store for us. Speaking to Fleur, Greg and James, Craig explained that the show will create the TS5 vibe which started in his apartment in Miami.

Getting excited to bring the party back to the UK, Craig explained, "There's nothing better than went you're at home, you don't have to have the whole crew." The '7 Days' singer went on to say he's excited about it.

Craig David joined us at Hits Live Birmingham in November 2019, where he performed his tunes 'Fill Me In' and 'Rewind'.
