Coronation Street viewers were left in shock last night when long running character Ken Barlow suffered a stroke, leaving fans wondering if he'll survive.
Viewers watched on last night (Monday 17th October) as the popular character suffered a stroke after his argument with his son Peter Barlow. As Peter made a shock return to the cobbles, Ken caught him entering the house in the early hours of the morning, much to his disapproval.
As the argument heated, Ken clutched his chest before collapsing in the hallway with his mouth fallen.
After the scene aired, fans of the show took to social media to reveal their shock and even had #KenBarlow trending worldwide on Twitter.
Ken's stroke arrived as the character was set to leave for European cruise holiday.
Ken, who is played by actor William Roache, is the only remaining original character on the soap after joining when the first episode aired back in 1960.
