Chloe Sevigny slams 'annoying' and 'crass' Jennifer Lawrence
She's not one of JLaw's millions of fans
Chloe Sevigny has taken a swipe at one of the most adored actresses on the entire planet – Jennifer Lawrence.
The 40-year-old Kids, Boys Don’t Cry and Big Love star called JLaw “annoying” and “crass” in an interview with V Magazine.
Chloe made the comments when talking about how having a huge public personality is part of being a celebrity and movie star.
"I'm afraid that maybe people think there's more personality than acting ability. I would like to be respected as an actress," she said.
"It's not like I can complain about anything. I think I've had great opportunities, but you can always have more.
"I understand star quality, how much value it carries. I don't think I have charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level."
"So much is about marketing and selling the product," Chloe continued. "They'll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show. I understand that star quality, how much value that carries."
Chloe’s swipe at JLaw came when she reflected upon the high-profile female stars she admires.
“I love when a movie star is a great movie star,” she said. “I think Angelina (Jolie) is a great movie star.
“I like Emma Stone. Whenever she’s herself, she’s really cute. Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass.”
Ouch. Don’t mince your words Chloe!
Chloe Sevigny stars in the upcoming thriller-drama series Bloodline, which premieres on Netflix Stateside on 20th March.
