Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan may have called time on their marriage earlier this year, but they've been able to remain on good terms. Sadly, they've now been united in grief after announcing that their dog, Lulu, has passed away after a battle with cancer.

The Pitbull mix has been a part of the family for years, and has regularly featured in both Channing and Jenna's Instagram photos - but earlier today, the former couple announced that she'd passed away.

Channing shared a photo of himself and Lulu running along a beach, captioning it, 'I’ll see you again baby girl. But you’ll always be with me. Always', adding a thank you note to the photographer for capturing the memory.

He also posted a gorgeous photo of himself and Lulu on his Instagram Story, which showed him relaxing on a beach with Lulu standing over him.

Jenna shared her own tribute, posting a gallery of 10 photos on the sharing profile and writing, 'To our sweet and fierce Lulu...thank you for being the best dog in the entire world and for fighting cancer for as long as you did.

'Thank you for your tireless love, protection and humor. Thank you for the adventures. Heartbroken doesn’t even come close to how it feels. But you will live on forever in our hearts and our memories...fly sweet angel 💔.' sic

Messages of support poured in for the couple, with fans rushing to leave comments for Channing and Jenna. Many wrote, 'Sorry for your loss' as others added, 'RIP Lulu' whilst one other wrote, 'It’s the hardest thing - our bond with our fur babies is inexplicably strong.'
