Last night one of the biggest nights in the TV took place, the National Television Awards (NTAs), and it was an emotional night, with many highs and lows. We saw the unstoppable presenting duo, Ant and Dec win Best Presenter for the 17th year in a row and a moving tribute to Bruce Forsyth.

On the night Ant and Dec won two awards, Best TV Presenter and the (newly named) Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway,** **but it was during their acceptance speech for Best Presenter, that Ant addressed his "tough year" with an emotional speech.

He told the audience, “It’s been a very emotional night tonight. It’s been quite a year. It’s been quite a tough 12 months so winning this tonight really means a lot, so thank you for all your support, it really means the world to me, it’s helped me get through."

Ant then turned to his presenting partner Dec, and said, “And thanks to you little guy, I love you man.”

“It has been quite the year,” replied Dec. “So this has really topped it off. Thank you so much to everybody who’s taken the time to vote for us, it is really, really appreciated – possibly this year more than any other.

"We thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts."
