Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has announced that she's pregnant with her second child! The 36-year-old, who married actor and jewellery designer Adam Shulman in 2012, has announced that they're expecting their second baby on her Instagram page.

Anne, who is already mum to three-year-old son Jonathan with Adam, shared a greyscale side-angle photo of herself, showing off her blossoming bump in her house and writing a heartfelt caption, revealing that the couple had undergone fertility issues.

She wrote, 'It’s not for a movie...⁣⁣ #2⁣ ⁣All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love 💕.'

Fans were over the moon for Anne and Adam, and hundreds of people commented on the photo with messages of support and congratulations. Fellow actress Awkwafina, who worked with Anne on Ocean's 8 simply wrote a row of love-heart emojis, whilst film director Nancy Meyers, who worked with Anne on The Intern, wrote, 'Congratulations Annie! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.'

Supermodel Naomi Campbell also congratulated the family, and one fan opened up about her own journey to parenthood, writing, 'I tried everything, right down to IVF at 30 , only to be told that I was infertile. Then at 42, I got pregnant. He is my little miracle. Blessings to you!'

Anne and her husband are very private people, and have only ever shared one photo of their son online. Speaking about being a mother, Anne told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "I feel such a deep physical connection with my son. When he’s sick, I wake up in the middle of the night asking, 'Why does my throat hurt?'

"If I have a headache, he will rub his little head. We are connected in ways that no one could ever explore in a lab. It’s just part of the magic of life."

Congratulations to the family!
