Passenger suffers 'life-threatening injuries' in Willerby crash

A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision involving three vehicles in East Yorkshire.

Police were called to the A164 at Willerby yesterday afternoon.

A woman was also taken to hospital with injuries that are described as 'serious'.

In a statement, Humberside Police said: "Officers investigating a road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a crash in Willerby, East Riding of Yorkshire yesterday.

"We were called at approximately 2.20pm to reports that three cars had collided whilst travelling south bound on the A164 towards the roundabout near Papas.

"A blue Peugeot 3008 was in collision with a grey Mercedes Benz EQA causing the Mercedes to collide with a red Volkswagen Golf.

"The passenger in Peugeot, a man, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment for life threatening injuries. The driver, a woman, was also taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries. Thankfully nobody else was injured.

"Enquiries are ongoing to understand the circumstances surrounding the collisions and officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen any of the vehicles prior to the collision, or if you have any further information or dashcam footage to please contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 258 of 29 November."
