Two men charged after cannabis seized in Hull

Drugs thought to be worth over £178,000 have been discovered following a warrant in the city

Two men have been charged and approximately £178,200 of cannabis has been seized after officers conducted a warrant in Hull yesterday (Tuesday, 20th May).

Renaldas Grigaliunas, aged 42, of Morpeth Street in Hull has been charged with cultivation of a class B drug, possession of a controlled class A drug and abstracting electricity without authority.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 21st May).

Zygimantas Zilionis, aged 28, of Morpeth Street, Hull has been charged with possession of a controlled class A drug.

He has been released on bail to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Friday 6 June.

Officers from Humberside Police's Kinetic Intervention Team executed a warrant at a premises on Morpeth Street, Hull and whilst inside are reported to have discovered a cannabis grow worth an estimated £178,200 and approximately £2,500 cash.

A 55-year-old man was also arrested at the scene and has since been released with no further action.
