A 71-year-old man's been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a three-car crash in Scunthorpe.

It happened on Saturday afternoon (29th November) on Burringham Road.

It's believed that a car collided with two others before hitting a tree.

Any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, is being urged to contact police.

A Humberside police spokesperson said, "It is reported at around 5.20pm that the driver of a grey Ford was traveling westbound on Burringham Road when it is believed to have been in a collision with a black BMW and orange Toyota before subsequently colliding with a tree.

"Emergency services attended and the driver of the grey Ford, a 71-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

"If anyone witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time it occurred, please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 383 of 29 November."
