Humberside police discover body at Tunstall beach
It follows a father of two going missing after swimming in Thornwick Bay
Police have discovered a man's body on Tunstall beach yesterday evening, as a search continues for a missing father of two, who was last seen swimming in Thornwick Bay.
A spokesperson for Humberside police said:
"Officers were in attendance on Tunstall beach following the discovery of a man’s body at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday, 21 August 2025).
"The man has not yet been formally identified, however at this stage of our investigation, it is believed to be linked to reports of a concern for safety at Thornwick Bay in Flamborough on Wednesday 30 July 2025.
"A post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days however at this time, the circumstances are not thought to be suspicious. The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers."
