Three months after investigations got underway into Legacy funeral directors in Hull and people are still coming together to pay their respects to the 35 whose bodies were recovered.

A vigil took place in Pickering park last night where people who've been affected by the scandal turned up to lay flowers and light a candle.

Our senior reporter Rebecca Quarmby spoke to the organiser Karen.

She told us: "We do need to remember them - all of them - everyone who's been affected.

"I don't know if I've got my mother and my father's ashes"

I just feel sorry for the people affected

"I write the words - a loved one on each of the roses."

"They represent one flower for each loved one who was found in Legacy."

Susan Taylor from Hull lost her son last year and used Legacy funeral directors.

"I've had victim support because at the moment I just feel like I wish I was with him - I know that sounds awful."

"I just feel sorry for the people affected."

"I had Legacy to do the funeral for me and when they had the body I expected to see my son and they said I couldn't."

It's unimaginable the torment they must be going though

One of Legacy's funeral homes is in Beverley - the Mayor of the town David Boynton along with the Mayoress was at last night's vigil.

He told us: "I think it's important that the council - whether it's the town council or East Riding - show their support and offer any support as well to the families."

"And if they're not getting that support then at least they've got a face to speak to."

"Hopefully I can point them in the right direction."

"It was a massive shock to us and of course the same for the families and it's unimaginable the torment they must be going though."
