Man dies in care home after 2022 assault in Hull

A man who was assaulted in Hull City Centre has died.

In December 2022, 44-year-old Gareth Davis suffered a broken jaw and a life-threatening head injury.

With injuries so severe, whilst in hospital medical professionals were then required to place him in an induced coma to save his life.

Gareth was left with life-changing injuries and was moved into a care home to live and be looked after, where Gareth tragically passed away on Tuesday 18th March.

A Home Office Post-Mortem examination will take place today (20/3) to determine the cause of his death.

Gareth’s family have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained officers.
