Hull KR secure historic spot in Super League Grand Final

In a thrilling and tense encounter, Hull KR secured their first-ever place in the Super League Grand Final, overcoming Warrington Wolves in a heroic and epic showdown.

The match kicked off with a strong start from Hull KR. Just 18 minutes in, the Robins made their mark when James Batchelor crossed the line to score the opener, sending the Hull KR fans into an early frenzy.

With the momentum on their side, Willie Peters' 21-man squad maintained a solid front, but the Wolves kept testing them.

The Robins extended their lead at the 36-minute mark when Burgess, stepping into the dummy half role, charged over the line from close range. .

Warrington came out swinging in the second half though, determined to turn the game around. They struck quickly, sweeping the length of the field and breaking through Hull KR’s defensive line. The pressure mounted as Ashton darted from dummy half to score, bringing the Wolves back in the game.

With just ten minutes left, Hull KR were hanging on by a thread. The fans bellowed their encouragement, creating an electrifying atmosphere that could be felt in every corner of the stadium.

Dufty’s fumble nearly swung the game, leaving Hull KR supporters on the edge of their seats. But the Robins held firm, showing incredible resilience and composure under pressure. The countdown was on in the final 30 seconds, as fans dared to believe history was in the making.

When the final whistle blew, it confirmed what every Hull KR fan had hoped for: the Robins are going to the Super League Grand Final.

This victory, secured by their defence and sheer determination, marks the first time in their history that Hull KR have reached the final.

Willie Peters' side will go to Old Trafford next Sunday standing just 80 minutes away from their first league title since 1985.
