Driver seriously injured following collision in Goole
The incident involved three vehicles
A 68-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries following a collision involving three vehicles in Goole.
It happened yesterday lunchtime around 12.35pm (Monday 28th April).
Police received a report that a silver VW Golf was leaving a car part on Rawcliffe Road when the driver is believed to have been involved in a collision with a red Peugeot.
The driver of the Golf is then reported to have travelled along Rawcliffe Road and collided with a van, before continuing to travel onto the M62 eastbound and coming to a stop on the hard shoulder near to junction 36.
Emergency services called and the driver taken to hospital.
Humberside Police said:
"From enquiries carried out so far, it is thought that the man suffered a medical episode at the wheel of his car.
"We would like appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, who saw the silver Golf driving along Rawcliffe Road following the collision or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time, to please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log number 226 of 28 April."
