Cyclist suffers serious injuries after collision in Hull

Police launch witness appeal after incident on Anlaby Road

A cyclist ha been knocked down in a collision with a car in Hull.

Humberside Police say a man in his 50s suffered serious injuries this morning on Anlaby Road and is currently in hospital.

They're urging witnesses to the incident near the junction of Rawlings Way and Argyle Street just after six am to get in touch.

In a statement, the force said: "Officers are seeking witnesses after we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Anlaby Road at around 6.10am this morning (Friday 27 September).

"It is reported that a car was in collision with a bicycle at the junction of Rawlings Way and Argyle Street, and the rider of the bicycle, a 50-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

"If anyone witnessed the collision, has dashcam or any further information that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries, you are urged to contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 66 of 27 September. "
