A fire, which broke out in Worksop last night, has been extinguished.
It spread through outbuildings and trees on Blyth Road in Carlton Forest at around 7pm yesterday (3 July).
It was scaled down by 9:30pm, but crews stayed on the scene to monitor hot spot areas.
Incident Commander, Group Manager Leigh Holmes: “This fire is now under control and crews have done a brilliant job in preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.
“We’ve got a considerable amount of damping down to do now and will be here for some time.
“Thank you to our partners for their support and the local community for their patience.
“We expect to be scaling down the incident in a couple of hours and will provide further updates as appropriate.”
Fire crews will now begin to investigate how the fire started.
