A woman's been charged in connection with a fatal collision in Derby, which saw two pensioners lose their lives.

It happened in June 2023, near the junction of Nottingham Road and Highfield Lane in Chaddesden, and saw a Jaguar XF and Ford Mondeo crash.

The passenger of the Jaguar, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man, also in his 80s, who was driving the Jaguar, died in hospital a short time later.

Police now say they've charged a 63-year-old woman with causing death by dangerous driving.

Jane Hunter Priestly, of Highfield Lane in Derby is due to appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court in October.
