A 16-year-old boy has died after a motorcycle crash in Collingham near Newark.
Emergency services were called to Besthorpe Road in the village around 11.25am on Saturday (29th March) following reports a rider had come off his bike.
A sixteen-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He sadly died on Sunday.
No other vehicles were involved but officers are appealing to anyone with any information or dashcam footage to get in touch with them
Detective Constable Liah Lane, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“This was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the teenager's family and friends at an extremely distressing time.
“Family members are being supported by specially trained officers.
“We believe a number of passing motorists could be able to help with our inquiries into this incident and I’d urge them to come forward without delay.”
Nottinghamshire Police said:
"Anyone who can assist should call police on 101, quoting incident number 231 of 29 March 2025."
