Police investigate report of serious sexual assault on a teenage boy in Nottingham

Police in Nottingham are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault on a teenage boy at the Forest Recreation Ground.

The incident is reported to have happened shortly after 11.30pm yesterday.

Police have cordoned off an area with officers set to remain there while investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant Lee Kirk, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We know these types of incidents are very concerning for the public I would like to reassure people that we are doing everything we can to investigate this very serious matter and we have increased high visibility reassurance patrols in the area while we continue with our inquiries.

“I’d also encourage the public to remain vigilant in the area and report anything out of the ordinary to us immediately.
