Nottingham Forest have sacked their head coach Ange Postecoglou.

The club suffered a 3-nil defeat at home to Chelsea in today's Premier League's lunchtime kick off (Saturday 18th October 2025).

The 60-year-old leaves the job after failing to win any of his eight games in charge.

He replaced Nuno Espirito Santo having led Tottenham to the Europa League title last season.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis left his seat midway through today's match at the City Ground and an announcement on Postecoglou's future was confirmed 19 minutes after full-time.

Nottingham Forest issued this statement.

Matt Davies from the Forest Focus podcast has been giving us his reaction:

"Eight games, no wins.

"Officially the worst manager on record in Premier League history I believe.

"A real gamble of an appointment by Evangelos Marinakis. A real shift in football from Nuno.

"To be appointing Ange Postecoglou has left us in a pretty perilous state."
