Man jailed in Leicester for breaching restraining order
A man who breached a restraining order has been jailed.
Aran Bown, of no fixed address, was found to have contacted a previous partner on multiple occasions despite being the subject of the orders.
He was sentenced to 36 weeks in prison.
DC Caroline Griffiths was the investigating officer in the case. She said: “Despite being the subject of the orders Bown continued to contact the victim and cause her distress.
“He had no regard for her feelings or the fact he was breaching the conditions of the orders.
“We are pleased that the courts have imposed this prison sentence, and we hope that reassures the victim and others who may be in a similar situation that we do have powers to bring people before the courts again for breaching orders.”
