Searches continue for missing 20-year-old in Loughborough

Searches are continuing for a missing Loughborough University student, as his family plead for help to find the 20-year-old.
Aryan Sharma was last seen leaving his home on Friday evening (21st Nov).
He was then seen on CCTV in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 20-year-old was seen on CCTV in Meadow Lane walking towards Stanford on Soar.
Officers are searching the area alongside the force drone, National Police Air Service (NPAS), Leicestershire Police search trained officers and Leicestershire Search and Rescue.
Specialist divers have also been searching in a stretch of the River Soar between Meadow Lane and Cotes.
Police said Aryan is Asian, 5ft 5ins tall, of a slim build with collar length black hair. He was wearing a distinctive black coloured calf length leather style black trench coat, shorts and black trainers with a white trim.
Aryan's cousin Jagi Sawhney, speaking on behalf of the family, said: "We are devastated as a family. We just want to find him safe. He's loved by this family. He is an older brother, he's a cousin, he's one of the five boys of this family.
"Our biggest concern now is that no one in the family has spoken to him since at least Friday. It's been really cold since he has been missing, and we haven't been able to get in contact with him. We just want him to be okay, and we want him to come home to his mum.
"Please help locate him. He's loved by everyone in this family, and we just want him home safely. No matter how small the information might be, please support the investigation and share that information with police so that we can just find him and get him home.
“If Aryan sees this, we want him to know how loved he is. We want him to know how much we all just want him to come home. He is a loved grandson, son and uncle. Everyone is rallying around to try and find him."
Detective Inspector Jonathan Dickens, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen Aryan since last Friday evening.
"I would encourage members of the public to check their personal and work CCTV systems, vehicle dashcams particularly for any sightings around Meadow Lane in Loughborough, Stanford on Soar, Cotes, Barrow Upon Soar and Prestwold between 12.15am on Saturday 22 November onwards.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant, could really help to find Aryan.”
