Two men named who died in light aircraft crash in Darley Moor

The two men who died in a light aircraft crash in Darley Moor have been named, with photos shared by their family.

Pilot Edward Browne, 66, and passenger James Litchfield, 64, both died at the scene of the crash.

The incident took place at around 11.30am on Tuesday (8th Apr).

Derbyshire Police said their thoughts remain with the family of the victims at this time.

The force said investigations were ongoing and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it.

That includes people who may have been driving on the A515 past Darley Moor around the time of the incident at 11.30am.

The Air Accidents Investigations Branch are also looking into this.
