Calls for help heard from Leicester river, sparking search for woman who may have entered water
Police are searching the river in Glen Parva, Leicestershire, after getting reports of a woman calling for help.

Emergency services - including the police helicopter - have been out in Leicester overnight after getting reports of a woman calling for help from the river.
Police and the fire service have been searching a stretch near New Bridge Road in Glen Parva since getting a welfare report at around 9:40pm yesterday (16 Oct).
The caller said they heard a woman's voice asking for help before hearing the sound of someone entering the water.
They did not see a person going into the water.
Nobody has been located.
Inspector Shauna Atkins, who has been coordinating the emergency service response, said: “Following a concern for welfare, police, fire, and the ambulance service have been in and around the area of New Bridge Road for a number of hours.
“We have carried out searches in and around the area and spoken to residents nearby and no one has witnessed a person falling in the water and we have not been able to locate anyone during our search. But we would ask if anyone has any information that could assist us further, please call us.
“If you believe you may be the women who was in that area around 9.40pm then please contact us urgently. We just want to ensure you are safe.”
