A man has been arrested following a crash between an Audi and an e-bike in Leicester, in which another man was seriously hurt.

It happened on Forest Road at around 11:30pm yesterday (28 July) when a red Audi and an e-bike went into each other. The e-bike rider - a man in his 20s - is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The Audi driver has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and drink driving. He remains in custody.

Detective Inspector Lisa Wood said: “Our investigation to establish the circumstances of this incident is continuing and I’m appealing for anyone who can help to come forward.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision occur or the Audi beforehand and particularly anyone with dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage.

“Anything you’re able to provide could help.”
