Large wildfire near Errwood Reservoir in the Goyt Valley

10 fire engines from Derbyshire and Cheshire are in attendance

Firefighters are still battling a fire in the moorland of the Goyt Valley.

Derbyshire police are asking that people approach the Cat & Fiddle pub on the A54 with caution as a large number of emergency vehicles are using this area as a base.

We're told emergency services mobilised to the incident after a call at 11:42 today.

1\0 fire engines from Derbyshire and Cheshire are in attendance supported by a water carrier, an Argocat and a Unimog.

A road closure is currently in place from the Errwood Hall car park, and people are being asked to avoid the area.

Locals are also being advised to keep doors and windows closed if affected by the smoke plume.

Crews at the scene are from Buxton, Glossop, Whaley Bridge, Crich, Matlock, Staveley, Ashbourne, Hathersage, Chapel-en-le-Frith, and Cheshire's Congleton station.
