Police say they're treating an investigation into a stabbing in Nottingham "extremely seriously".

A teenager was taken to the QMC for treatment yesterday (06/10) for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening at this time, after being attacked near a KFC on Hucknall Lane in Bulwell.

Officers were called at 14.55 on Sunday, and we're told a police cordon remains in place, with a large presence of officers still nearby.

No arrests have been made yet in connection with the incident.

Det Insp Kayne Rukas said: “As you would expect, we are treating this incident extremely seriously.

“There will be a large police presence in the area as we determine what has happened and seek to find those responsible.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information.
