Three house fires started in Leicestershire are believed to be linked and caused deliberately, according to police.
Three people, including two teenagers, have been taken to hospital for treatment. One of the teenagers is suffering burn injuries.
Their injuries have been described by police as not life-changing or life-threatening.
The fires were started after 7am this morning (21st Nov) on Holywell Avenue, Prestop Drive and Cliffton Drive in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
The B6006 Smisby Road is closed.
A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Jim Willoughby said: “Our investigation remains at an early stage as we continue to piece together the circumstances behind these three incidents.
“From what we know so far, we believe these incidents to be linked and deliberately caused by the same person.
“I would ask anyone who may have any information about any of these incidents, to please get in touch.”
