Five injured in suspected hit-and-run in Nottingham
Five people have been injured after a suspected hit-and-run on a key Nottingham road.
Five people have been hurt following a suspected hit-and-run on a key Nottingham road this morning (12 Feb).
It happened on Talbot Street shortly after 2am.
Police have traced a car they believe was involved and have set up cordons, shutting the road between Wollaton Street and Clarendon Street, whilst investigations continue.
Three of those injured have been taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The people involved are believed to be known to each other.
Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a serious incident which will understandably cause concern.
“Detectives are working at pace and will be using all the investigative tools at our disposal.
“While we believe it to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public there will be an increase in patrols in this area throughout today.
“Officers were at the scene very quickly and I’d also like to thank members of the public who stopped to provide assistance to those injured.
“It is really important anyone with any information, or relevant CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage, gets in touch without delay.”
