Temporary officers are being hired by Derbyshire Police, which says it urgently needs additional resources.

Extra staff are being added to the team investigating the murder of Dale Martin in Derby.

30 people have been arrested over his death in a stabbing in June so far.

The force says it's also dealing with a number of other major investigations.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said:

"The extra officers are to assist with the investigation into the death of Dale Martin on Stenson Road.

"The additional support is required due to the number of ongoing murder investigations within Derbyshire and the complexity of this investigation."

An advert lists the temporary roles as including enquiry officers, indexers, reader/receivers, CCTV coordination, telephone liaison and disclosure/exhibits support.
