Derby police officer charged with misconduct in public office
A serving police officer has been suspended and charged with misconduct in a public office.
A serving police officer at Derbyshire Constabulary has been charged with misconduct in a public office.
PC Kashif Saghir from Nottingham is alleged to have pursued an improper relationship with a vulnerable woman he met whilst on duty between 14 September and 14 October 2024.
He is accused of wilfully misconducted himself.
The officer remains a serving member of the Derbyshire police force, but has been suspended from duty.
He will appear at Leicester Crown Court on 1 December.
