A man whose dog mauled his younger brother to death has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.

55-year-old Gary Stevens' Cane Corso cross attacked his 51-year-old brother Wayne Stevens at their home in Derby in April 2022.

He later pleaded guilty to a charge under the Dangerous Dog Act after the incident on Cameron Road in Derby.

The breed of the dog that attacked Mr Stevens is a cane corso cross.

Police said the animal was "destroyed at the scene" because it "presented a risk to officers and the public".
