Derby man charged over video showing a Koran being burned
50-year-old Hamit Coskun is accused of a religiously aggravated public order offence following an incident in central London.
Two men have been charged after a video emerged of a man burning a Koran and another man attacking him in central London.
50-year-old Hamit Coskun from Derby will appear in court charged with a religiously aggravated public order offence. 59-year-old Moussa Kadri from Kensington and Chelsea, has been charged with causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
The incident happened in Rutland Gardens in Knightsbridge on Thursday, 13th February 2025.
Coskun will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 15th February 2025.
Kadri has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17th March 2025.
