Emergency services deal with submerged damaged boat at Beeston Marina
It is travelling downstream towards Clifton
Emergency services have been dealing with an incident at Beeston Marina, this morning.
They received reports at around 4am that a damaged boat had gone under water.
It is still submerged and is travelling downstream, quickly, due to fast-flowing conditions and significant debris in the river.
It is heading towards Clifton.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This incident brings a reminder of the importance of mooring boats correctly.
"Boats should be securely and appropriately moored, checked regularly, and suitable for rising water levels and stronger flows. An unsecured vessel can quickly become a hazard to others."
People are being urged to not approach the water, and to keep well clear of riverbanks and towpaths.
