A man has been charged following a stabbing in Loughborough town centre.
Emergency services were called to Ashby Square- near the Sainsbury's- on Thursday evening (27th March).
The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.
19-year-old Hussein Elyas of Lindrick Drive, Leicester, has been charged with attempted murder, having a bladed article in a public place and three counts of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent to supply.
He appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (29th March) and remanded to appear before Leicester Crown Court on 12th May.
