A big High Street returns to Poole today - ten months after the brand went into adminstration.

Wilko opens the doors to their latest concept store in the Dolphin Centre today (Friday 16th August).

The household and garden retailer will include an Iceland concession in their 23,500 square foot branch.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to mark the store’s opening.

John Grinnell, centre manager at The Dolphin Poole said:

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Wilko back to The Dolphin. Our customers definitely felt the loss after the initial closure of their Poole store in October 2023, and many will be glad to see Wilko’s return.

"The reopening will bring back much-loved Wilko-brand homewares, and the introduction of Iceland products in-store will add an extra level of convenience for Poole shoppers.”

Wilko say they've been prioritising the re-hiring of former staff in their recruitment process.

The Poole site is further other relaunches in places like Exeter, Luton, Plymouth, St Albans and Rotherham.
