A man has been charged and is due to appear in court in connection with a road traffic collision near Dorchester.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.35pm on Wednesday 10 April 2024 of a collision on the A35 near Winterbourne Abbas involving a blue and white Isuzu Tipper lorry and a white DAF rigid tanker lorry.

The driver of the Isuzu Tipper lorry was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be life changing.

A 45 year old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.

Following a detailed investigation by Dorset Police, Adrian Cudmore, who's now 46, was charged with causing serious injury by careless driving.

He has been issued with a postal requisition and is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3 October 2025.
