Dog with broken leg rescued by Dartmoor volunteers

A Labrador with a broken leg has been rescued by Dartmoor Search and Rescue.

Cocoa was hurt in a remote part of the Dart gorge at around 3.40pm on Monday (28th April).

Around 20 volunteers responded to the callout, around a kilometre from Dartmeet.

Cocoa, who's described as an elderly dog, was taken by stretcher with her owner to safety.

She was then driven to a local vets for treatment.

The rescue operation took around two hours.
