Warwickshire Police sees highest ever number of officers
Officer numbers in the county have increased by 45% since 2016
Warwickshire Police says the force has seen its highest ever number of officers in the force.
The force says 1,161 officers are currently serving with the force.
It says it has seen a 45% rise in officer numbers since 2016 - when around 800 people were part of the county's force.
Warwickshire Police say the Police Uplift Programme - a pledge by Boris Johnson's government to recruit 20,000 officers nationwide by 2024 - was "largely" responsible for the increase.
The force adds it has welcomed 40 new starters since September, coming from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
