Two boys arrested on suspicion of rape following incident at Nuneaton train station

Officers investigating the rape of a teenage girl at Nuneaton Railway Station at the weekend have arrested two suspects.

Two boys from the local area, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and will now be questioned by detectives.

The investigation was launched following the attack at around 5.50pm on Sunday (19 January).

Detective Inspector Owen Fell from Warwickshire Police said: “Enquiries have progressed at pace throughout the week. We identified three suspects two of whom are now in custody and will be questioned by detectives.

“This has been a complex investigation with a teenage victim and teenage suspects, and I would like to thank the public for their support and understanding while we have conducted sensitive enquiries to locate these suspects.

“We continue to appeal for anyone with information to contact us.”
