Three terraced houses affected by fire in Nuneaton
Five fire engines were called out this lunchtime (Wednesday 23rd)
Three terraced houses in Nuneaton have been affected by a fire this afternoon (Wednesday 23rd April).
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue say five engines were called to Alexandra Street just before midday, arriving less than three and a half minutes from the initial emergency call.
Crews from Nuneaton, Atherstone, Foleshill, Coventry and Leamington Spa attended, and used hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.
They also cut away the roofs to prevent spread.
There are no reports of any injuries.
An update posted at around 4.30pm said the incident was being scaled down, with just one engine remaining on the scene, with the turntable ladder.
The area's being dampened down with checks for any hotspots.
