It happened on Watling Street in February 2022

Three men have been jailed for their part in drug fuelled violence in Nuneaton, during which one of the men suffered a stab wound to his leg.
The altercation started outside a property in Watling Street where the three were living at the time in February 2022. A woman made a comment about Bishal Paul being loud. Paul became aggressive and asked the group she was with if they wanted a fight.
Paul pulled a knife out of his pocket and used it to threaten Henry Smith.
The altercation escalated quickly, with both men exchanging punches before Smith was stabbed twice in the leg.
The pair continued to fight before Dale Parker became involved, dragging Smith back towards Paul so the fight could continue.
Paul and Parker fled, after being made aware that police had been called. However, officers stopped them nearby and arrested them.
Smith was taken to hospital by paramedics where he was treated for his injuries, which fortunately weren’t serious.
Paul, 28, of Rendell Street, Loughborough, was jailed for 18 months, after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
Parker, 39, of Doddington Road, Wellingborough, was jailed for 16 weeks, after pleading guilty to using threatening words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence.
Smith, 41, of Welford Road, Leicester, was jailed for three months, after pleading guilty to affray.
All three were sentenced as Warwick Crown Court last week.
Detective Constable, Clayton Kelley, from Warwickshire Police, said: “This was a shocking level of violence that left one of those involved in hospital with stab wounds to the leg. There is a misconception that stabbing someone in the leg is not dangerous, but it doesn’t take much to hit a major artery and cause serious injury or worse. We’re just thankful Smith wasn’t too badly injured and we weren’t investigating something more serious.”
